Following the success of the Bala Masterclass a few weeks back, I decided to pay a return visit to the Tanygisiau Slate Mines last Sunday (21 Sept). I managed to spend a good 6 hours there and the weather was beautyful (resulting in boring skys!). Anyway, I did manage to get a few shots that I'm happy with, which are below.
During the masterclass visit to this location, we were limited by time and tended to stick close to the area near the begining of the lake. As I had more time, I walked along the lake, finding a run down chapel along the way.
There was also an old work house at the far end of the valley. There were the remains of anold aquaduct (in the backgroud) and waterwheel pit!
There's also lots of slate (obvioulsy...)

All the photos were taken with my EOS 40D and imported into Photoshop Lightroom, where they were cropped (if needed) and tweaked. There are more photo's from here and the actual masterclass course on my own web site, www.keithdw.co.uk, just follow the links to UK and then Tanygrisiau Slate Mines.
