Big Cats - With adjustments...

Hi everyone,

Following on from Brian's recent comments (13th Oct.) about the saturation of the images I posted, I've now been experimenting with applying some adjustments to them.

I'm not sure just how much Saturation is 'enough' - personally I'm not a big fan of highly saturated prints - what are 'realistic colours' anyway? Then again - doesn't every adjustment you make to an image have some degree involve of subjectivity / a personal opinion? In any case - I've had a go...

These first three (pairs of before and after) images were simply adjusted as follows:
  1. Add a Curves adjustment layer to set the black, white and grey points
  2. Add a Saturation adjustment layer - increasing Yellow only to +20 (not too much...?)

These next three pairs were adjusted in almost the same way as those above - I just used a layer mask (on the animal itself) when applying the Saturation adjustment layer (rather than on the whole image).

For the last before/after pair I cloned out a bit of 'green interference' from the fence before doing the Curves and masked Saturation adjustment layers...

I hope you all like the changes - and as with all post all comments and suggestions are more than welcome...
